Our climate work focuses on financing and adapting climate efforts related to development work and humanitarian disasters (the nexus). Additionally, Global Focus supports our members in integrating climate aspects into all development work. As a sector, it is vital that we take a leading role in the sustainable green transition and ensure that we have our own house in order.

Together with our members, we work purposefully to ensure that Denmark leads in the national transition and integration of climate and environmental issues into development work.

Global Focus’ climate work strongly emphasizes the link between climate justice and human rights. We work to include and amplify the voices of those most affected by climate change, and who already today are paying the highest price for the crisis today, in the decision-making processes concerning their future. We do this through collaboration with our national and international climate network, and campaign work, and by collecting and sharing knowledge and data about the relationship between climate change and human rights.
