Global Focus is a platform for more than 75 organisations engaged in international development, peacebuilding, humanitarian action, and the green agenda.
In a time of global upheaval, crises, and shifting priorities, our primary task is to ensure civil society’s position as a leading actor in development. We do this to promote sustainable, rights-based, and locally anchored Danish development cooperation that aligns with Denmark’s international commitments and the Sustainable Development Goals.
We achieve this by being a knowledgeable, relevant, and effective platform that, through strong expertise, advocacy, collaboration, and dialogue, strengthens our members’ influence and capacity.
Global Focus works to safeguard and protect civic space and to uphold civil society’s independent and essential role as a dialogue-driven, critical, and constructive partner.

Meet us
The General Assembly is the highest authority of Global Focus. Here, members define the overall organisational and strategic framework for the organisation’s work.
The Steering Committee is the political leadership of Global Focus. It consists of 15 members and up to two alternates, elected at the annual General Assembly.
The Global Focus secretariat consists of an executive director, a number of managers, policy advisors, coordinators, and student assistants. Through member engagement, the secretariat coordinates, implements, facilitates, and supports capacity development, knowledge sharing, exchange of experience, advocacy, and strategic communication.
