The working group for climate mainstreaming is dedicated to equipping Global Focus members and other interested organisations to integrate climate and environmental considerations in their policies, practices, programmes, and partnerships, with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing other environmental challenges. 

To this end, Global Focus, in collaboration with its members, has developed a climate mainstreaming toolkit that provides guidance on how to integrate climate considerations into organisational practices. The toolkit, which includes a checklist with 13 benchmarks, is freely available to anyone seeking inspiration to make their organisation more environmentally sustainable. 

The working group holds learning sessions approximately once a quarter to collect experiences, and share knowledge and inspiration with one another. These meetings cover a range of topics, such as: 

• Cooperation with companies and local partners on mainstreaming 
• Setting targets and monitoring CO2 reductions in organisations
• Managing change related to climate mainstreaming 

Additionally, Global Focus is engaging in an ongoing dialogue with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to understand the requirements for climate mainstreaming in Strategic Partnerships, funding, and bilateral programmes.
