Dear members of Globalt Fokus,
At the beginning of 2020, SOS Børnebyerne, DANNER and AIDS-Fondet established a gender network with the aim of exchanging experiences and disseminating knowledge about norms, gender and violence and how it affects our work. In that capacity, we are pleased to invite you to the first of four seminars under the headline working with norm criticism in approaches to Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
The seminar package consists of four individual seminars designed to ensure an all-round covering of methodology and practice on norms and GBV. The seminars will draw on experiences from Sub-Saharan Africa, the MENA region and Asia, however, will be relevant to all Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with an interest in exchanging experiences and methodological practices to promote gender equality and gain a greater knowledge on how to work through a norm critical approach on a project- and programme level:
- 17 March 2021: Seminar 1 - Working with Norm Criticism in Approaches to GBV: Practice and methodology
- May/June 2021: Seminar 2 - Norm Criticism, Masculinity and GBV: Practice and methodology
- August/September 2021: Seminar 3 - Norm Criticism, LGBTQ+ and GBV: Practice and methodology
- October/November 2021: Seminar 4 - Norm Criticism, Equality and GBV: Systems and institutions
Organisers: SOS Børnebyerne, Danner and AIDS-Fondet.
Invitations and specific dates will be shared consecutively.
