Global Focus invites Danish civil society organisations to a one-day workshop on physical and digital security. The workshop will be facilitated by AccessNow and Open Briefing, two globally leading actors in the protection sector, and will provide entry-level knowledge and tools to strengthen your internal security and in your cooperation with international partners working in repressive contexts. The workshop takes place on January 27, 2026, from 08.30 - 16..30 in Copenhagen and will be in English. 

In conversations with both Danish and international organisations, Global Focus has identified growing concerns around internal security and security in collaborations with global majority partners. Many organizations experience online harassment and threats in Denmark and have security concerns when hosting external meetings, conferences etc. Similarly, surveillance and threats towards global majority partners require increased caution and tools to maintain safe cooperation and communication.

As a response to these concerning developments, Global Focus has invited AccessNow and Open Briefing to facilitate a one-day workshop to build knowledge and capacity among Danish CSOs on digital and physical security. It will provide participants with basic tools for: 

• Risk assessment 
• Risk mitigation 
• Secure digital infrastructure and communication. 

Registration is now open via the registration form below. This workshop can host a maximum of 20 participants and therefore, only two staff members from each organisation can join. Global Focus will close registration if 20 people sign up. As it is a full day workshop, please also note that registration is binding (except in cases of illness, emergencies, and similar). The final program and exact location will be shared with participants in advance of the workshop. Lunch, cake, coffee and water are served throughout the day.
