Outcome Harvesting as a feminist localised MEL method
Thursday 19 June 2025, 14:00 - 15:30

Location Danish Institute for Human Rights, Wilders Plads 8K 1403 Copenhagen K

Join us for a discussion on how Outcome Harvesting can be tweaked and adjusted as a feminist and localised MEL approach.

International Media Support (IMS) will present the learning from a pilot project, supported through the Global Focus Capacity Development Fund. The philosophy with regards to MEL are partly shifting away from “gender sensitive MEL” to a stronger emphasis on “feminist MEL and gender transformative changes” with a focus on measuring if and how programmes address and contribute to changing power structures and how programmes in their implementation, including related to MEL, address and take power structures into account. It is in this regard, that IMS, on our programme in Pakistan, has tested and explored how OH can be twerked as a feminist MEL tool with a focus on localisation, the conceptualisation and use of feminist principles, and the perception of meaningful participation from the perspectives of partners.

The workshop will take Outcome Harvesting as a point of departure and discuss how the feminist and localisation elements can be strengthened based on experiences from the IMS pilot project.

Presenters: Helene Bach, M&E Adviser, IMS and Waqas Naeem, Asia M&E Adviser, IMS
