Location Salen, Globalt Fokus, Rysensteensgade 3, 1564 København V
Global Focus are pleased to invite you to a convening on the European Union’s multiannual financial framework (MFF) on January 15, 13:00-16:00 CET at Global Focus at Rysensteensgade 3, held in collaboration with Global Citizen.
The objective of this 3-hour workshop is to familiarize participants with the MFF processes and stakeholders, in anticipation of the upcoming MFF 2028-2034 negotiations that are anticipated to start under Denmark’s EU Presidency in 2025.
Why is the MFF relevant to work with?
The EU’s development cooperation budget is 79,5 billion Euro or 592,96 billion Danish kroner. A great part of the member state’s development aid is delivered through the EU. This also the case for Denmark, where 2,60 billion Danish Kroner of the Danish aid budget for 2025 is delivered directly through the EU – accounting for 11,6% of the overall development aid budgeted for 2025.
During the workshop we will explore how the MFF works with a specific focus on External financing and climate financing. Further, we will discuss how we as civil society can engage in a Danish National Context.
The workshop will be held in English.
