This workshop is the second workshop in the series: “Unleashing knowledge on gender and development”
Many members of Global Focus work with gender mainstreaming in everyday work – both gender focal points and beyond. In this workshop series we dive into some of the issues that fall within the frame of gender mainstreaming. The aim is to gather Gender Focal points and other relevant stakeholders working with gender in development cooperation to present new tools and share best practices and challenges when working with gender related issues. The intended outcome is to provide a space for cooperation and knowledge sharing as well as identifying central issues in working with gender equality.
Workshop 2: Going beyond the term "Gender Transformative"
The term “Gender Transformative” is frequently used in gender-related development initiatives. But what is meant when activities are described as “Gender Transformative”? Do we have the same point of reference when using the term?
In this workshop we will explore what is understood by "Gender Transformative" through a presentation by leading academic voices followed by discussion amongst participants.
