What is Outcome Harvesting?
Outcome Harvesting i s a tool inspired by Outcome Mapping and Utilization Focused Evaluation tha t is being used worldwide to robustly identify, describe, analyse and inter pret outcome and impact-level results regardless of whether they were pre-d efined.
Outcome Harvesting collects (“harvests”) evidenc e of what has changed (“outcomes”) and, then, working backwards, determines whether and how an intervention has contributed to these changes.
&n bsp;
Outcome Harvesting has proven to be especially useful in complex situations when it is not possible to define concretely most of what an in tervention aims to achieve, or even what specific actions will be taken ove r a multi-year period.
Outcome Harvesting is an innovati ve tool which is increasingly being used by organisations and donors e.g. t he World Bank.
Le arning objectives of the course

&nb sp;
The trainers will provide tips and insights based on their extens ive experiences working with OH.
Who is the course for?
The course is intended for those wishing to learn and advance beyond a basic understandin g of the 6 OH steps by enriching their understanding of the concepts underp inning OH and, importantly, gaining confidence, through practical exercises , of how to adapt and apply the steps to different M&E challenges. The course will have a hands-on approach focused at enabling the participants t o use OH as an M&E tool. The course will provide an opportunity to work on own cases and will facilitate feedback from other participants and trai ners.
The course is intended for those who work with M&a mp;E or similar, but no experience with Outcome Harvesting is expected befo re the course. Those with some knowledge of the OH steps will be able to co nsolidate their understanding of concepts and steps before deepening their competence and confidence through exercises.
