Join a full day collaborative conference in Helsinki on May 12th, where relevant actors witll come together to (re)imagine the future of global solidarity. 

Do you want to contribute to a conversation about what global solidarity looks like in times of uncertainty? Expand your network and learn about civil society's work with global solidarity? Now is your chance. We are seekind participants who are curious, reflective and ready to imagine bodly and participate in an active day. 

In a time of rapid global change, this conference offers a space to pause, reflect and co-create new possibilities for how we work, cooperate and stand in solidarity with people, activist and other civil society actors in the global majority.

Rather than a traditional conference, this day is designed as a shared journey into the future. Through creative, participatory and future oriented methods, we will explore what a just world could look like, what solidarity feels like in practice, and how Nordic actors can contribute to a more equitable global landscape and to shifting power between global civil society actors. Bringing reflections, critical thoughts and ideas from different civil society actors across the Nordic region, the purpose of the conference is to co-create and develop pathways to a desired future for broader inspiration and use in the work of Nordic civil society. 

The conference is held as part of the joint project Nordic Voices for Global Solidarity with Global Focus, Fingo and Forum.   

How can I join?

The conference will take place in Helsinki on Tuesday 12th of May from 9.00 - 16.00 Participants will have transportation and accommodation costs covered and food will be served during the conference. 

In total we are looking for 10 delegates from Danish and Greenlandic civil society. Specifically, we are looking for: 2 youth delegates, 2 diaspora delegates, 2 artist delegates, 1 Greenlandic delegate and 3 delegates from Global Focus’ member organisations. Please make it clear in the subject line of your application e-mail, which of these categories best fits you and your work. We encourage anyone engaged in civil society and interested in exploring future pathways for global solidarity to apply.

• A onepage written document
• A short video (max 2 minutes)
• A voice note (max 2 minutes)

Your motivation should briefly share 1) why you want to participate, 2) what perspectives or experiences you bring, and 3) what visions of a just future you hope to explore.
