Global Focus invites members and the wider Danish civil society to a presentation of ALNAP's State of the Humanitarian System (SOHS) 2026 report
For almost 20 years, ALNAP's State of the Humanitarian System (SOHS) report has tracked how international humanitarian action is performing. The 2026 edition arrives at a pivotal moment. The report assesses how the humanitarian system performed during 2022-2025, a period marked by escalating humanitarian needs, major geopolitical shifts and the largest contraction in humanitarian funding in recent history. It examines what is working, what is not, and what today's pressures mean for the future of humanitarian action.
Drawing on evidence and analysis from across the sector, the report can serve as a valuable resource for strengthening organisational programming, advocacy, policy development, influencing and communications activities.
As governments, donors and humanitarian organisations make difficult decisions about priorities, funding and reform, the report provides an independent assessment of the challenges, performance and future direction of the humanitarian system.
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the findings with ALNAP and peers from across the sector.
