Global Focus is inviting Danish civil society organisations working with partners in the Global South to join an online information meeting about the Claim Your Space funding mechanism. The meeting will be in English and will take place on April 16, 2026, at 11.00 – 12.00 CET. To attend, please register using the form below. During the information meeting, we will outline how Claim Your Space can be made available to partners of Danish civil society organisations in the Global South and there will be time for questions about the application process, responsibilities of the grantee and the Danish organisation and more.
Claim Your Space is a response to the globally shrinking civic space - the freedoms of assembly, association, and expression. It covers all countries included on the OECD DAC List of ODA Recipients (available on the OECD website) and consists of two funding tracks. Under Track 1, it provides rapid financial support to civil society actors and human rights defenders at risk while Track-2 funding supports joint responses by local CSO alliances to shrinking civic space. Applications for both funding tracks can be submitted by partners of Danish CSOs in eligible countries via our website. For more information about Claim Your Space, please also see this letter.
