Please note that this is a two-day course!

The course is designed for organizations that are planning to apply for funds from the European Commission (EuropeAid) for development projects. The aim of the course is to give the participants an overview and understanding of what it entails to write good project applications, and what it requires in terms of preparation and resources. We will briefly introduce the main funding instruments within EuropeAid and review the process behind call for proposals. We will also look at what constitutes a strong proposal (narrative, logframe and budget) and how input from finance, programme and partners’ staff are best coordinated and facilitated. During the course we use the Call for Proposal Guidelines, Project Cycle Management Guidelines and evaluation criteria as tools to developing proposals. The course will include practical exercises where the participants will have the opportunity to assess a proposal to EuropeAid.
