Management of EuropeAid Grant Contracts

Objective:
The training will aim at giving the participants a general overview of the management of an EU grant, and the rules and steps of the implementation of an EU grant agreement from the award to the closure. Special attention will be paid to new requirements introduced with newer version of the PRAG as well as more generally how to deal with changes to the project, including budget revisions, reporting requirements and payment modalities. The course will include practical exercises.
The session will be organized around the three main phases of project implementation:
Inception phase
- Contract signature and possible negotiation
- Grant contract: special conditions, general conditions and other annexes – concluding contractual arrangements
- Actors and stakeholders
Contract management during the project implementation
- Communicating with the EU
- Financial management and eligibility of costs
- Procurement and related rules (Rule of Origin and Nationality)
- Reporting and payment modalities
- Changes to the contract, the action and the budget
Project closure
- Handover
- Final reporting
- Documentation and record keeping
The target group is programme and finance staff implementing EuropeAid-projects. The training will be conducted in Danish or English dependent on registrations.
